DR. AMAR DASGUPTA, MD, PHD, FELLOW UICC
Director-Medical Services & Consultant Hematopathologist
Along with a host of prestigious honours, Dr. Dasgupta is a recipient of the Talent Search Scheme Fellowship (ICMR), Fogarty Intl. Fellowship (NIH, USA) and Yamagiwa-Yoshida Fellowship (UICC, Geneva). An MD from the PGIMER, Chandigarh, he holds a PhD from the Mumbai University, and has trained at the University of Washington Medical School, Seattle, USA; Fred Hutchinson Cancer Centre, Seattle, USA, Royal Postgraduate Medical School & Hammersmith Hospital, London, and Centro Microcitemici, Cagliary, Italy. Dr. Dasgupta has over 40 years’ experience in hematopathology, medical genetics, prenatal diagnosis of hemoglobinopathies and transplantation immunology at leading medical institutions. His areas of expertise include multiparametric diagnosis of hematolymphoid malignancies including Flow Cytometric immunophenotyping and MRD analysis; hemoglobinopathies including newborn screening; chronic anaemias; thrombophilia and platelet disorders. He set up India’s first Hybridoma laboratory at the Tata Memorial hospital (TMH) and the first clinical Flow Cytometry laboratory at the Hinduja hospital.
With over 120 publications in reputed medical journals, and having delivered a number of orations, Dr. Dasgupta was also President-The Cytometry Society of India, President-Mumbai Hematology Group and Counsellor-International Society of Laboratory Hematology.
DR. RATIKA B. AGARWAL, MD, PDCC
HOD, Histopathology
A specialist in renal pathology, Dr. Agarwal is an alumnus of the Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS), Lucknow with a PDCC in renal pathology from SGPGIMS and an ISN/ANIO fellowship in renal pathology from Harvard. With over 17 years of experience in nephropathology at SGPGIMS and Dr. Lal Pathlabs, New Delhi, her expertise is interpretation of native and transplant renal biopsies, direct immunofluorescence and electron microscopy, uropathology, GI pathology and oncopathology.
DR. GIRISH MAZUMDAR, MD
Consultant Histopathologist
Currently an Honorary Associate Consultant Histopathologist, Bombay Hospital, Dr. Girish A. Muzumdar, has been a Medical Research Assistant in Surgical Pathology at the Breach Candy Hospital and MRC, Mumbai and held several other post-doctoral posts in Mumbai. His Neuropathology experience covers analysis and diagnosis of about 400 CNS tumours a year, an epidemiological study and immunohistochemistry, squash preparations and frozen sections of CNS tumours along with their computerised registry.
